Searching for a New Job? It's More About Mindset Than Resumes

Once your resume is in tip-top shape, working on your mindset can be the critical change in your job search. Acknowledging what’s happened in the past year and really reflecting on what you want out of your next role can make all the difference if you’re diving back into the job hunt. Experts discuss why it’s about “who you are, not just what you’ve done.”

Career Corner: Ask a Recruiter

Career Corner: Ask a Recruiter

I’ve been hearing from a lot of clients who are trying to increase their engagement on LinkedIn. Outside of updating your profile, here are some strategies:

  • Grow your connections!
  • Send messages to connections to catch up or introduce yourself. I personally love hearing from old colleagues!
  • Share content: job openings on your team, share articles and relevant questions to inspire discussion, re-share the posts of others in your network, crowd-source for expertise in a particular area or offer your own.
  • Comment on other people’s content. This is an excellent way to grow your connections and demonstrate thought leadership in a particular area.

Social Media isn’t for everyone, but if you’re looking to connect with more professionals, engage in conversation related to your professional area, and/or lean into public thought leadership, LinkedIn can be a great place for you to start!
