How the World’s Most Admired Companies Drive D&I
Although many organizations have made great strides in becoming more diverse and inclusive, news headlines demonstrate how far we still have to go before all employees have full opportunities to contribute and succeed and before workforces reflect the demographics of society. Companies that lag behind their competitors in diversity will find it more difficult to attract top talent and build a good reputation among employees.
Baltimore Students Protest For Anti-Racist Curriculum: ‘We Don’t Know The Truth’
Students want to learn about successful Black uprisings and the history of white supremacy. They want a history unit dedicated to the role Black women played in the civil rights movement. The changes students are calling for can be slow-moving. History textbooks can take up to a year, or longer, to rewrite and republish; however, students say they’re encouraged by districts that are swiftly removing police from campuses and scraping the names of Confederate leaders off of buildings. Curriculum changes may come fast, too.
The No. 1 Strategy for True Inclusion in the Workplace
Many modern workplaces are striving to become more diverse and inclusive. But too often, organizations struggle to determine how, exactly, to put diversity and inclusion (D&I) into practice. Wide demographics alone won't make a difference to an organization's bottom line unless the people within those demographics feel authentically welcomed.
Following this process will allow you to personalize your pitch and position yourself as a stronger candidate.
